veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions module

Exception types raised across VeloxQuant-MLX’s quantizer, cache, and allocator code.

Each error subclasses the closest matching built-in exception (ValueError, FileNotFoundError, RuntimeError) so callers can catch either the specific VeloxQuant error or the general Python category, while still getting a precise, greppable exception name at the raise site.

exception veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions.QuantizerConfigError

Bases: ValueError

Raised when a quantizer or KV cache is misconfigured.

exception veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions.ArtifactNotFoundError

Bases: FileNotFoundError

Raised when a required precomputed artifact is missing from the store.

exception veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions.CyclicPipelineError

Bases: RuntimeError

Raised when a QuantizationGraph contains a cycle.

exception veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions.CodebookDimensionMismatch

Bases: ValueError

Raised when a codebook’s shape does not match the expected dimension.

exception veloxquant_mlx.core.exceptions.BlockPoolExhaustedError

Bases: RuntimeError

Raised when a BlockPoolAllocator has no free blocks left to allocate.
